Role description:

As IT System Administrator / IT Support you will play the key role of support in building and maintaining IT infrastructure and support team mates and consultants in the matters of technical support, hardware configuration, backup maintenance, software installation / uninstallation.

Your duties. You will be:

  • support in building and maintaining IT infrastructure
  • system administration based on modern technologies
  • support and maintenance of production and test environments
  • regular care for the security of IT systems
  • building and developing DevOps competences through process automation
  • monitoring the operation of network and server infrastructure
  • cooperation in the implementation of new IT solutions
  • configuration of virtualization systems and mechanisms of high availability of services
  • analyzing and target solving problems affecting the reliability of IT services
  • implementation of project tasks regarding the existing or required IT infrastructure
  • configuration of workstations, installation of software on users’ computers
  • day-to-day handling of requests and solving problems related to the current use of hardware and software
  • purchase and inventory of hardware and software

A perfect candidate for this role has:

  • at least 2 years of experience in the position of IT Support / IT Help Desk
  • at least 1 year of experience as an IT Administrator
  • experience in administration of Linux / Windows operating systems
  • knowledge of one of the database engines: PostgreSQL, ORACLE, MS SQL, MongoDB
  • ability to analyze system logs
  • ability to automate processes
  • knowledge of virtualization issues
  • knowledge of the English language allowing for easy communication and work with documentation
  • willingness to further develop in container technologies: OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker
  • well-appreciated knowledge of tools such as: Jenkins / Bamboo, Git, CHEF / Ansible
  • very good work organization and independence
